       Eric Oberdorff implemented between 2014 and 2018 two large-scale projects for the inmates of the Nice Remand Center: Corpus Fugit and Sur ma peau. They led to the creation of two series of photographs exhibited in France and Italy, and two short films screened and awarded at festivals in France and internationally.

       Initiated in 2018, the UTOPIES creation cycle explores our present, past, future, real, imaginary construction and development models, whether they are successes or failures.
       In keeping with this theme, Éric Oberdorff proposes to develop the My Dreamed Life project which, like the previous projects, combines encounter, practice and artistic creation. In the company of dancer Luc Bénard and composer Sarah Procissi, Éric will work with inmates of the Grasse prison with a series of 10 choreographic workshops, as well as a photographic exhibition and meeting-discussion times at the attention of inmates and staff. Upstream and then in parallel, the three artists will set about creating the solo My Dreamed Life on the theme of personal utopias and whose performances in prison and for the general public will help foster the dialogue inside / outside. To write the solo, Éric Oberdorff and Luc Bénard will draw on their past experiences and will develop the choreographic material developed by drawing inspiration from the states of the body explored by the inmates during the workshops. For her part, the composer Sarah Procissi will also use the sound material collected during the workshops to feed her electroacoustic composition.
